Progress Continues on Downtown Vhils Piece

I was in downtown Los Angeles again today and was again in total awe watching this Vhils piece come alive based on the JR. photograph. The work is painstaking done with jackhammers on a crane under the hot sun. According to Vhils the piece is the largest he has done, it’s about 60 feet high. He told me was telling me how it was the process of peeling off posters from walls that gave him the idea for his chipping technique.  Do yourself a favor go down and see it at Spring and 7th Street and then out his upcoming group show, EuroTrash at  Lazarides LA at the 9th June 2010 – 27th June 2010.
